Regional Sales Director

Our client is the proven leader in the vertical network space.  They power vertical networks from global media partners.  Their unique and proprietary network allows advertisers and agencies to efficiently reach scalable custom audience verticals across mid-size and niche publishers. This client is focused on providing off the shelf brand focused media plans to agencies and advertisers. 
                                                            
We are assisting this client with a search for a Regional Sales Director who will be based out of the Santa Monica, CA office(optional to work from a home office). 

Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain western region territory account list calling on media directors/media supervisors and Internet marketing directors/managers at the top digital media buying agencies and top internet media ad spenders.  
• Once the successful candidate has gotten a foot-hold on the region and a solid book of business they will be responsible to build and manage a team of up to 2 account executives.
• Develop and cultivate deep relationships with client and agency teams.
• Proactively manage performance oriented accounts to drive incremental revenue.
• Identify, understand and communicate trends within client markets and industries.
• Provide smart client research and industry specific information.
• Update and create sales proposals via Salesforce.com.
• Be an active member in the Regional Digital Media Community.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE - at least 5 years of online advertising sales experience  
• Prior experience working at a digital ad agency in a media planning role - a plus.
• MUST HAVE - experience being a player/coach for a small team of account executives  
• MUST HAVE - a deep understanding of Western Region market with a solid Rolodex of client and digital ad agency relationships
• MUST HAVE - prior experience building a territory from scratch. 
• MUST HAVE - a thorough understanding of the ad network space
• MUST HAVE - BA/BS
